2. Information we may process

Website and security data

Our hosting provider may process technical request data, including IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and security logs, to deliver and protect the website.

Optional analytics data

If you choose “Accept analytics”, Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, referral source, browser and device information, and online identifiers. Analytics is not loaded before consent.

Messages sent to us

If you email us, we process your email address, name if supplied, message, attachments and any information you choose to include.

Consent preferences

Your browser stores your analytics choice so the website can remember it. The homepage may also use session storage to remember that its introductory screen has been shown during that browser session.

Information may be handled by service providers supporting the website and communications, including GitHub Pages for hosting, Google for consent-based Analytics and Gmail, and content-delivery infrastructure used by the site.

The website links to services such as YouTube, DistroKid and HyperFollow, social networks, online stores and blockchain explorers. When you follow one of these links, that service may process information as a separate controller under its own terms and privacy policy.

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, the relevant provider is expected to use a recognised transfer mechanism or other lawful safeguard.

5. How long we keep information

We keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the enquiry, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Analytics retention is controlled through our Google Analytics configuration and Google’s applicable policies. Browser-based consent and session preferences remain for the periods explained in our Cookie Policy or until you clear them.

6. Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
